The Submarine Factory opened its doors at the corner of 99th and Pulaski, taking over a building with 45 years of neighborhood history. But the food behind the counter comes from a much longer story.
 

Owner Agustin Romero has spent more than two decades building sandwiches across Chicago's South Side — learning the trade, perfecting the craft, and dreaming of running a counter of his own. The Submarine Factory is that dream, built with his family, for his neighborhood.
